I would like to let you know that me and my family will move to Gatersleben, Germany on 22 January 2009 because I got a post-doctorate job offer for three years.

We have no choice. At first, I planned to go to Germany alone first and then my wife and daughter will come later around April. But we face some problem for the visa. We only got three month temporary visa and will need to apply for three years residence permit within that period after we arrive at Germany. I didn't know about this regulation and Germany Embassy staff here also didn't tell us about this regulation
